Hi all, just managed to get my cataloguing up to above the 700 mark (with a few rarities to go yet) so thought I'd pop in, say hi and ask where the key to the executive washroom is

Highroller has officially joined the 700 club, yahooooooooooooo.

But I'll probably fall out of the 700 club again when I start selling some of my DVDs, no more room.

I'm pricing up new shelving practically as we speak since I'm running out of space on the bookcases ... and the Mrs will start to notice if all the gaps keep disappearing as I sneak new DVDs onto the shelves

FWIW, Highroller, there are some good ideas about storing DVDs in small spaces (moving them to slipcovers and storing the boxes elsewhere etc.) if you don't want to have to sell wlsewhere on these forums.

OK, I managed to knock myself out of the 700 club.

I decided to re-number all of my box sets so that only the master profile (the one for which I actually layed down the dough) would be numbered, leaving all subordinate titles un-numbered, regardless of wether or not they are available for purchase seperately.

Still, at 697 it will not be long before I am back in da' house.

Welcome to the club and the Forums, ToonSpirit. Keep up the good work with those contributions ... and slow down so I can catch up your DVD total

... and if you make your collection available to view publically we can all check it out ... go on, give us a peek

I really like having them in the original cases they came in, don't ask why.  I did check into getting different cases, multi DVD cases, slim cases etc, but I decided I prefer them in their original cases.

The problem is I'm actually running out of room throughout the house, thus I'm going to have to sell off a little of all my collections, DVDs, CDs, Videogames, Sport Cards, RC Cars (I have more than 30 of them right now, why I ever needed so many beats the heck out of me), Comics etc.

FWIW so do I! It just seems wrong not to be able to see them all lined up as intended ...

I think I'm beginning to see why you're running out of space ...

I AM BACK IN BABY!

After taking myself out of the club last week by re-numbering my collection to eliminate numbers from child-profiles of multi-title box sets (not TV mind you, those only ever had 1 number to 1 title) I have scratched my way back into to club with the purchase today of the Best Buy/Future Shop exclusive Gift Set edition of Office Space: Special Edition with Flair!.

Wooo-hoooo!

And now with no artificial inlflation. Jack Ryan Collection = 1 number....Indiana Jones...1 number...Star Wars...same thing. Legit all the way baby.

I hit 700 yesterday, after tracking down some DVDs that my local stores didn't get.
