Mithirandir,

Looks great.  Though for a website I don't think there would be a need for a Applet Tab, Management Tab, Log Tab, or a Download Tab.

Thank goodness I've got 20GB for my webspace because I think this skin might use it all.
Gotta nip it in the bud, Andy!

Doug,

Sent you a PM reference the debug.

Mithirandir,

Using Doug's debug console I was only able to make it through the first 131 profiles of my collection, but I will be upping those to my website most ricky-ticky.  This is with revolver=true set in settings.js file.  Will do another run later today with that set to false for regular covers.

Would be interested in hearing how quickly this loads on peoples' browsers.

Thanks,
Bill

Looks great, Bill.

For the speed: the first page is a little bit slow as a lot of pics have to be downloaded. From the second title, all pics used by the skin are cached and it is displayed very fast.

P.S.: For the Applet Tab, Management Tab, Log Tab, or a Download Tab: of course you can disable them inside of the settings file...
Best regards,

Mithirandir

Yeah, I noticed the downloading of everything on the first page as well.  Downloading of over 300+ items while waiting for a page to load has me a little concerned.

Some things I did notice.  I have the settings.js file set as revolver=true, and as you go down the list you can see the cover revolving.  However, not all of them are revolving.  For example if you look at the 24: Season One sheet you'll see the standard front and back cover.  Same is for the Alien Vs. Predator below that.  Kinda perplexed on that.

Also, each Title has the ":" (colon) after it.  For example, instead of just displaying "The Planets" it displays "The Planets:"

Gonna try your other skin tonight and see how that works out.

These are mostly the studio logos and the other pics the skin uses.

I don't see 24 - Season 1, this page cannot be displayed.

I get this with 24 - Season 2 but I also get an error message. If an error message (due to each reason) occurs, the code is interrupted at that location and will not run to it's end, meaning that the code switching off the standard pics and enabling revolving isn't called.

This is not by means of the skin but due to the companion, I think it's a little bug (still occuring when no description is present).

My bust.  It was Season 2.  Stupid fingers typing on stupid keyboard.

Hmmm... wonder why it doesn't happen with other skins though, like here,
and here.

Doug,
For some reason the title 'Unbreakable: Vista Series' appears on two lines as seen here,
and here,
and here.

Minor stuff that can be easily fixed with html editing after the file is produced.

This talk of companion brought flashbacks to my mind of the Zephram Cochrane episode of Star Trek: The Original Series.  Guess it's time to open those boxsets.

I know exactly why that is without even looking at the code - excuse me whilst I go and introduce my head to a brick wall...

Save the head bashing until after the code is fixed.

Where's the fun in that?

I've uploaded version 0.1.2 - this fixes the issue with 'unBREAKable'.

As a sidenote, I just noticed while looking over the html for this skin that the file uses a font called SF Movie Poster for the title.  If you don't have it you can download it here.

V1.2 of the font can be found here.

Executing DVD Companion on my 967 profiles collection, Xulrunner sat at about 500,000 K of memory used when it was done.

The next version will not be doing that - after much investigation into memory usage, it turns out that the HTML code textarea keeps an undo history (and I can't turn it off). After a few hundred profiles, that gets pretty big...

My plans for 0.2 don't include that, so memory usage will drop dramatically!
