We at InterVocative have conisdered the fragmented future of DVD (BluRay, HDDVD, paper discs, rental models, etc) and decided to change the focus of DVD Profiler now to prevent future confusion.

In partnership with Sony Interactive Media Corporation, starting next month, "DVD Profiler" will change to "Sony Media Profiler" and will have native support for the entire Sony media format library, including Beta Video Tapes, MiniDisc Audio, SCD Audio, UMD for PSP, and of course Blu-Ray.

Although there may be some small impact to users as we remove the supposedly "universal" DVD format discs from the database, there is simply too strong an upside to ignore.  Closed proprietary formats have proven their success time and time again in format wars, and now is the time to embrace them for the future!

Don't April Fools jokes have to be played / completed before 12 noon?

That's more likely to happen than seeing a DVD Profiler Mobile in our lifetime.

Is April Fool's Day celebrated world wide?  Will some of our users across the pond get the gag?

I’d like you to take a look at this gun. The balance is excellent, this trigger responds to a pressure of one ounce. This gun was handcrafted to my specifications—and I rarely draw it unless I mean to use it. --Paladin
