is it possible to run a simple report showing only the name of dvd and the number allocated in my listings?

Try to find the report called "IVS Simple Listing (v 1.0)". It has a two column listing showing only UPC and Title. Then simply edit it and exchange the UPC with the collection number...

I amended report to collection number and name but report still comes up with purchased date instead of allocated number??
