Is it possible to import reports into Word?
So from there on you can sort and manage your collection?

Sort????  Word????

if you want sorting, I would export your collect to csv file and then use Excel..

As for printing to Word.

I know that there is a Microsoft virtual printer (I don't use it). It is the same thing as cutepdf, foxit pdf, or Adobe pdf writer except it creates rtf (I think) files and not PDFs.

You could open that in Word.....

You are right, in Excel it is much easier to import and sort...

I'm curious, how would you take the static report data and export it into Excel?

Also from the other posts I've read, (I'm new to "DVD Profiler" but not to database development) I would prefer to export the whole data base to excel but it doesn't appear to be easily accomplished.

You cannot import the report data in Excel. But you could import the Profiler's csv-export file. The whole database on the otherhand (or as close as you can get) is available in the XML-Export file.
You then can use other tools to import or transform the XML file.
For example my tool Cast & Crew Viewer will import it into an Access database.

Last Night with very little difficulty, I was able to export my database into excel as a .csv file. I was however, disappointed when I checked in excel and the UPC field wasn't part of the data.  I then rechecked the fields exported form DVD Profiler  and found that it wasn't part of the standard export selection.

Yes, because of this I proposed to export to XML. There this info is available.
Then you can import for example in my C&C Viewer. If you then still want to have a csv file with UPC, you select in the Viewer Tools->SQL Queries and send the query
SELECT * FROM Profiles
Then you save the result into a text file. Then you can import it into Excel (just enter a | as field divider).

Thanks, Tom.
I'll give it a try at my next opportunity.
