So, have you watched all your films or tv-series you have bought? Or is there some films waiting *for the rainy days* to come some unknown time? I admittely have some films to be watched should I have time / interests to watch them. Like the HD DVD version of Lethal Weapon. Not seen that one yet.. (HD DVD drive is already ordered, though. For XBOX 360).
Are you just collecting or buy for watching? I do both. Depends on an occasion.

I am not even going to mention that I have an unwatched pile of 397. Some of them desperately, some f them not quite. Many I have seen before and so far simply "collected" the DVD.

Very few. The most I just bought because I like them and want to have them after I've seen them in the cinema, on television or as a rental. You could call me a distributor sponsor.

This is an interesting question.  I've only just past the 180 mark, so I'm very much the neophyte collector.  Although I have watched a majority of the films, there are ten or eleven that I just can't seem to get to.  I always find myself going back to some of my favorites instead.

I remember buying "Training Day" on the day after Thanksgiving...two years ago!  I finally broke the seal on it and watched it a few weeks ago.  As it turns out, I could have waited another two years and would'nt have missed a thing.

Update on the last time... let me see...

Totally blind buys I've never seen: 26% of collection (264 titles)
Stuff I've not seen on DVD but have seen before on TV/at the movies before I bought it: 21% (218 titles)
Therefore total on DVD not watched on DVD: 47% (482 titles)

... I have a lot saved for a rainy day... and if you include commentaries I haven't listened to and extras I haven't watched that will make it the vast majority of the collection

What happens when you buy 3 or 4 DVDs at a time?  That is where I get bit.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Some people on this forum apparently buy or otherwise obtain hundreds of DVD's a month, and they have THOUSANDS of unwatched DVD. To each his or her own
