And FWIW, the trademark registration application in the name of Intervocative is signed by Jesse C. Slicer "Principal Partner," whatever that means---you usually don't have partners in an LLC, you have partners in a partnership.

I don't understand what you mean by that, clearly intervocative is owned by 6 people, I published the constitutive (is this a word ????) document on my forum !

How could there be 6 owners but not 6 partners ???????

I am not sure where you are getting your information from but an LLC can be, and is often treated as, a partnership when there are several owners.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

LLCs certainly have partners in many cases.

Sorry, but you can and do have partners in an LLC.  I've been one.  Principal partner is generally either the one who puts up the money (or most of it) or is the CEO for purposes of record.

There are all kinds of ways you can structure an LLC, but as long as it meets the requirements for the state of record, all those ways are one just as good as another.

So, the cat is out of the bag.

If you don't want to read 75 pages - the main points are:

"On or about April 17, 2006, Cole without the knowledge or consent of IVS or any of its members or managers, formed Invelos in preparation for direct competition with IVS;

Cole disclosed, removed and misappropriated the Confidential Information by copying, modifying, using and removing source code, files, and Domain Names for his own personal benefit and use;

Beginning no later than April 2006, Cole began engaging in activities that would be competitive with IVS, and used the Confidential Information which he obtained as a member, manager, general partner and principal of IVS in derogation of his legal obligations to IVS;"

Half of the cat
With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress.

A third of the cat.  When it comes to civil cases there are often 3 sides.  In this case those would be IVS', Ken's and the truth.

Well, I meant what Ken is accused of. Of course you're right - so far we have only "heard" one side.

I hate to say this, but given the uncertainty of the situation, has anybody explorered alternative products that can import the DVD Profiler database?

Which uncertainty?

It has ended... for some time.

Go to invelos.com. download 3.0 if you still haven't. Start using.

I was an owner of 3.0 and there was a legal dispute that evidently was just settled last week.  I was not aware until now that the dispute had been settled and the Invelos site can be accessed again.
