IVS can't release an updated version of the software - they don't have access to the source code to do it. It's one of the reasons for the current lawsuit.

...and source for that info? I bet that he just don't know how to do that.

In the the pdf with the public documentsfiled by IVS, made available in other threads,  it is stated on page 41 (page 10 of the "Verified Petition for Injunctive relief and damages"), item 26, that the source code for 2.5 was not made available to the other members of IVS. That is Doug's source for his statement.

Well, I'm still using 2.5 (I didn't know about 3.0 until it was too late to get it) and I'd just like to say thanks for the fix, Jesse.  I have no qualms with poking around in the Registry.

This is, of course, not to be construed in any way as support for IVS or Invelos in the current legal hullapalloo.  I'm just happy to get rid of the error window while I wait for everything to get worked out.

Also, before anyone says anything about my low post count, let me just say this: I'm sorry and I'll try to do better...
But, hey, at least I paid my 30 bucks.
Always remember that you are unique.  Just like everybody else.

What!? You mean everything posted here has to be of some benefit?

If we had to sit and wonder if anything we were about to post had any benefit...I don't think there would be much activity here.

Maybe we should all start PM'ing our intended posts to you to find out if the posts have any benefit.

And just to let you know, I'm not interested in knowing if you're interested or not.

I now had the ability to go to sleep with both states of knowledge, and I can tell, I didn't sleep any different at all.

So, I didn't benefit at all, but I'm not interested in pursuing it further, and I'm sure you're not interested in my sleeping patterns either, but I'm not really interested in knowing if you're interested or not.

But it's an interesting subtopic to post to.

Anybody else interested in posting to further other user's interest?

EDIT: I hope someone finds this post beneficial, but I'm not really interested to know...

My. Now that was interesting!

This isn't the first program I needed to Modify the Registry with, which is why there are so many programs out there to backup your Registry in case you screw it up.  This was a pretty simple fix that works as I just did it.  The hardest part was fixing the Permissions to allow me to make the change.

I've been using Version 2.5 for a very long time.  I don't come around here much because the program doesn't seem to be supported anymore.  No new Updates since forever,  any info from the programmers is ZERO, the Main page isn't updated, what is a person to think?  I saw this fix and hell it cures my error on quiting.  The program still works great, though I wish I had the Mobile version for it also!  I'm using a 3rd party program right now and it's not a simple thing to just update it's database when I add a new DVD or HD DVD.  I haven't seen a better program then DVD Profiler.

Now I come back after a couple months and I hear there's this new Version 3 and a Mobile Version released, and then Removed and by some other company?!?!  Now the Courts are Involved and it looks like everything has gone to hell in a hand basket.

I hope these problems get sorted out SOON.  I'm glad there was at least a quick Registry fix, I'm not going to complain about that, but the Support, News, anything from the Developers all this time REALLY SUCKS.  I've been a Paid Member for a few years now and I thought things were going to be a lot different then they turned out.  It's to bad, for such a good program.

To apply the key in the register I have copied her on block notes and then I have saved in extension. reg (or also tried with extension. key), and then double click on this file to apply the key, but I get an error message.

How can I resolve the problem?

Cordially I thank

Ken has stated he will be merging the two databases, so 2.x is basically defunct.

You'd be better of heading over to the new forums and trying to get help there with moving the skins across to version 3.
