Per_G, you are such a spoiled little baby.

Even if  - my god!! - you have to go "back" to 2.4, you're not likely to find anything better in the short term.

You know nothing of the lawsuit, but you immediately start crying.

People like you are a good example of why sometimes it's okay to weed out the gene pool with an Uzi.

Funny how this always seems to apply to the person making the idiotic statement as well.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Yo, Kev. Not the smartest thing in the world making a statement like that about somebody you don't know anything about.

Guinea Pig - Flowers of Flesh and Blood,
Guinea Pig - Devil's Experiment,
Guinea Pig - Mermaid in a Manhole

There was a Limited Edition Box Set of all 6 Guinea Pig movies released in Germany by Devil Pictures Entertainment, it may be hard to find but it's legit. There's also releases from Unearth Pictures in the USA, so you can get it from there as well.

Quote:
All Night long 1, 2, & 3

Has been released in the Netherlands and USA

Quote:
Last House on the Left (Which I actually own the Uncut Canadian VHS, which was the only uncut version released until recently)

Was released uncut in the USA in 2002 by MGM

Quote:
Last House on Dead End Street

Was released uncut in Germany by CMV

Quote:
House on the Edge of the Park

Was released in the Netherlands by EC Entertainment and subsequnetly in Germany by Laser Paradise, but they used the NL DVD in Germany as well, just a different cover

Quote:
Nekromantik

Was released several times in Germany, in 2000 and 2003 for example.

Quote:
Aftermath

Don't know which one you're looking for, there's too many movies with this title.

Quote:
Audition

Released in Germany by Rapid Eye Movies / One World Entertainment on 01/28/2002 and by LionsGate in the USA.

Quote:
Ichi the Killer

Released uncut in Austria by Raptor in a Digipack (and was offered fairly cheap when it came out (8,00 €), and also available uncut (=unrated) in the USA by Media Blasters.

Quote:
Zombie

If you're talking about Dawn of the Dead by Romero from '78, I won't even start to list all the available legit versions....

Quote:
Battle Royale

Released uncut all over the world (Korea, Japan, UK) legitimately, even in a Perfect Collection by Marketing Film in Germany (one of four available uncut formats in Germany alone), that was available for a looong time and should not be too hard to track down

Quote:
Suicide Club

If you're talking about the thriller from 1988, I couldn't find release infos on that.

Quote:
Dellamore Dellamorte (Cemetery Man)

Released uncut in Germany by Laser Paradise (twice), by Universal / Studio Canal in France and by Anchor Bay in the USA.

Quote:
Cannibal Holocaust

Released uncut in Germany three times by Laser Paradise, in France, in the UK, in the Netherlands, in the USA, there's so many legit releases of this titles available, they're innumerable....

Quote:
Cannibal Ferox

See above

Quote:
Bad taste (Both SubStaNce and Anchor Bay)

Released in Germany by two companies (Laser Paradise and Marketing Film), in the USA and lots of other places as well

Quote:
Meet the Feebles

Released in Germany by Laser Paradise, in the Netherlands and the UK. Can be found in Germany in the bargain bin time and time again for 2.99 € to 5.99 €.

So, apart from "Aftermath" (don't know which one you're seeking) and "Suicide Club" (apparantly not available), all the titles you listed have been released legitimately in numerous countries and in numerous languages. So, you're probably just not willing to pay the amount necessary to obtain copies of hard to find DVDs. It's not like these DVDs cannot be found, if you're willing to look and pay. I don't see a "valid" argument for going for pirated DVD in theses cases, regardless of the fact that there's no "valid" argument whatsoever for pirating DVDs.

You DO realize that Ken Cole, the founder of Invelos and developer of DVD Profiler 3.0 might very well still be one of the "people behind IVS" at this time, as he's one of the partners of IVS?

Does that mean you'll also "badmouth and boycott" Invelos and DVD Profiler 3.0, as it is a service and product invented by one of the people behind IVS?

I've found xpolitedcinema to be very good for cutting the hassle of getting some of the more obscure foreign horror titles. They certainly list some of the Guinea Pig titles and a couple of versions of Aftermath.

You could also try diabolikdvd I've not ordered from them yet, but haven't seen anything to indicate they aren't a sound business.

I'm not talking about about stuff I can get from other countries, I have tons of imports (R1, R2, R4, R6) and have no problem playing PAL or any region.  What I'm talking about are EXTREME horror/exploitation/violence/sadism titles which have NEVER been released in an uncut format in the English language.  There are lots of titles, such as Antropophagus, Grim Reaper, and El Topo (Soon to be released WOO HOO) for example.  Antropophagus, was released uncut in German I think, but no subs.  Mind you, it was a "Blood Red Edition", good luck finding it.  Some movies were released on VHS uncut once upon a time but good luck finding them as well.  I do have several hundred VHS, most rare and unreleased on DVD.  The crown being the original uncut release of blade runner with the gore scenes intact.  I don't own it on DVD because I can't stand censorship.  Thanks to companies like Anchor Bay(Which comprises over 10% of my collection), Elite, Barrel, Unearthed, Tartan, and TLA and advocates, like Quentin Tarentino and Eli Roth who bring the extreme in to the mainstream, more and more these titles are becoming available as interest grows, and I generally pick them us as they're released.

We're not taking about average Hollywood horror movies, we're talking about stuff like,
Guinea Pig - Flowers of Flesh and Blood,
Guinea Pig - Devil's Experiment,
Guinea Pig - Mermaid in a Manhole,
All Night long 1, 2, & 3
Last House on the Left (Which I actually own the Uncut Canadian VHS, which was the only uncut version released until recently),
Last House on Dead End Street,
House on the Edge of the Park
Nekromantik
Aftermath
Audition
Ichi the Killer
Zombie
Battle Royale
Suicide Club
Dellamore Dellamorte (Cemetery Man)
Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Ferox
Bad taste (Both SubStaNce and Anchor Bay)
Meet the Feebles (Good luck finding this)

to name a few.  These are not nice movies and most people couldn't handle them and until recently, extremely difficult or impossible to find legitimate copies of.  I have downloaded all of these at some point and have since bought when they became available.

In short, I don't download it if I can buy it.  Actually, I don't download movies anymore, If I can't buy it now, I do when I can.

What I'm arguing is that not all copies are pirates, they are simply legal copies.  I don't know what the rules are, but companies like Video Screams and what used to be Deepest Black(RIP) sell legitimate "copies".

Rob

The ones in bold, is realesed in R2. I don't know if they are realesd in in R1. I know because a friend of mine have bought them.

And also Ichi the Killer, Audition and Last House on The Left. Only pirated dvd that I have is Stanley Kubrick's Fear and Desire.

Darxon,

Guinea Pig was also released in pairs(Two movies to a disk) in the US by Unearthed Films.

Aftermath / Genesis (Two Shorts by Nacho Cerda) was released in the US by Unearthed

Suicide Club (Japanese) was released by TLA

Last House on Dead End Street was released by Barrel Entertainment in the US

House on the Edge of the Park is available in various formats in the US.  I have, and it appears uncut, a cheep-ass movie box set called Roots of Evil with it in it.  It was released by Brentwood Home Video in the US.

Nekromantik was also released in the US by Barrel.

Both Meet the Feebles and Cannibal Holocaust were released in Canada by SubStaNce, though I am unsure of the legality of this company.  I have seen SubStaNce DVDs at HMV and bought Meet the Feebles legitimately from Amazon about 4 years ago.

Zombie is the Lucio Fulci Zombi and is now easily available from Anchor Bay

There is another US version of Audition, from Media Blasters I believe.  I have the Lions Gate one though.

ALL of the DVDs I mentioned in my earlier post(s) I own, and as far as I know, are legit (Other than the afore mentioned Salo).  To find rare movies which are commonly pirated, like some of these, I have a search site which lists all known legit DVD releases of a movie.  I use it as a cross reference with eBay to try and ensure they are legit.  I don't remember the site off the top of my head though.  I can post it later though if anyone is interested.

I'll have to check them out.  The HMV in the West Edmonton Mall actually has one of the best selections of rare and foreign stuff I've ever seen, including on-line stores.  I've found DeepDiscount sometimes has things no one else does and the same thing with Amazon.  Amazon is quite often the cheapest for rare stuff, if they have it.  DeepestBlack used to be good for exploitation and gore, but they appear to be gone.

Like I said.  DeepDiscount is the bomb!!!

That was the right Zombie, but Anchor Bay released to the one I have.

The All Night Long Collection was distributed by Tokyo Shock.  Got mine off Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/All-Night-Long-Collection/dp/B0000JLLAO/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-8622262-9119365?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1178984873&sr=1-2

Nekromantik 2 and Schramm are also available on Amazon, but I haven't ordered them yet.  I suspect most are available in some form on Amazon these days, but DeepDiscount tends to have better prices if they have it.
