I want to thank everyone for all the hand wringing, whining, bitching, and all the arguments about the lawsuit. I am sitting her with an impacted wisdom tooth awaiting surgery on Thursday.  And all the pain of reading the posts of how this is unfair, DVDP 2.4/2.5/3.02 does not work, and who is at fault. Well, it makse my tooth pain seem minuscule!

I was thinking of hammering a nail in my foot to take my mind of my mouth, however reading the normal petty arguments that usually goes on in these forums whether IVS, or Inveleos ratched up to nuclear level saves me the nail.

Someday all the talk may return to DVD's, submissions, middle names, and what is Tuvock's newest name. But by then I will no longer be in pain and will not need all ya'lls helpful distraction.

That seems like a long time to wait for oral surgery.  Hope you can last until Thursday.

Not painful for me. It's pretty frickin' hilarious.

Seeing all these people bitch & moan & whine & cry just gives me the jollies. It just shows the people doing that have no concept of reality.

In the larger, grand scheme of things - like I've said before - all this is minuscule. Even 25 years from now, no one is going to remember DVD Profiler, or any of this stuff. Especially when the asteroid hits, wiping out all life on the planet. Or a close supernova.

I feel your pain though Bobbo. Last year - actually on May 10th (Thursday this year, Wednesday last year) - I left for a while. Checked out. I was medically and clinically dead. But I returned from the other side, so that's why I know all this whiny/bitchy stuff here is a waste of time. And I take great pleasure in seeing these fools waste their time.

Bobb, I feel your pain...

I had a root canal done last week (and then re-done yesterday...). The dentist needed an hour to get the anasthesia to work (my nerves just didn't respond to the injections) and eventually ended up injecting right into the tooth... It then had to be re-done, as it got infected and I was in quite some paion over the weekend, hardly could fall asleep.

Wish you all the best for the surgery!

Edit:
Yes, Skip in the post below is right, I actually had typed that But had to go and fix it...

I know what you mean about Anaesthesia when I had a root canal or a filling, my Dentist usually needs to give me three or more shots of novocaine!!

Anyway I'm off to the Invelos forums.

I guess it is true G-d restores a good program, when a tooth is pulled.

Oh, I know what that's like.  Top jaw, far left, food trap. Dentist tells me taking the tooth out is easiest solution and it's a doddle.

He injects me, multiple times like you, before it goes numb. Then he bolts on his toys, sticks his knee in my chest and starts to pull. It won't budge because it's set in slightly thicker jaw bone than normal (hence the difficulty in numbness). Eventually he snapped my tooth ...

With nothing left to grip he said he'd have to wait for it to grow. However, he'd left the nerve exposed. That night I finally understood the term "climbing the walls" in reference to pain and not some deviance I hasten to add! Next day I go back and he does the old root canal routine. Nice.

Couple of months ago it had finally grown a bit more (food trap was now painful, not just a nuisance) and he was able to get it out completely. Still tough, but it did more or less slip out.

And women complain about giving birth? Ha! Root canal first, then getting kicked in the you-know-where. That's pain.

So, Bob, how'd it go?

Anyone ever wonder why they call them "Wisdom" teeth?

I never looked it up but it's something that I'm curious about. When I had mine "wisdom teeth" pulled over 25 years ago I too had to have surgery. Between the hammer and chisel and stitches and so on, it definitely was not any fun. I still have those little bastards with some bone still attached to them in a box somewhere around here. It was quite an experience but I don't remember feeling any "wiser" after the ordeal.

Maybe they get the name from the look on your face when your going through that mess. You rarely say anything because it hurts so damned much to open your mouth and about all you can do to communicate is nod or shake your head and go "hmmmm" until it heals.

If you're like the rest of us you'll pull through fine but damn does it hurt!

making arrangements to have mine pulled in June or July, I certainly appreciate your comments

Well, I guess it's gonna be one of those things, which are horrible while they last, but we get to tell great stories later on...
