This could be a short membership. I've got 993 right now, scheduled to pick up only 2 this week, but 22 in November. Plus any impulse buys.

OK, everybody in this topic has over 500 DVD's. But how about informing others on HOW they achieved this?? Any special tricks or techniques on how this is done? After all, DVD's are expensive and everybody must have a unique way to acquire their collection inexpensively. Care to fess up on their favorite way to build their collection inexpensively? --Greg--

I enjoy scouring the Wal-Mart 5.50 rack, lots of good titles pop up in there, plus titles that may not be worth 15, but for 5.50...
Also the Best Buy  2/3 for $$ deals. Last weeks 3 for 20 horror titles got me 6 disks. Plus I like Asian films, and some of them can be imported for ridiculously cheap prices. Plus of course gifts and such....

Ditto..  with my recent collection padding with the Ultimate Toy Box set, I'm right on your heels.  I should be at 500 before the end of the year.  Most of my friends think I'm crazy for having over 100 DVDs ... go figure.  Guess I can find solace in places like these ...

For me, many of mine have been through Columbia House.  I've been joining, quitting & rejoining over the last 3 or 4 years.  I also scan the sale ads every week.  you can't beat those 2 for $15 or 2 for $20 sales! I also keep an eye out for internet deals (like the recent $10 coupon with Barnes & Noble) and the 20% off DDD. Nothing too special I guess.
